Military Service
For military service for 12 - 24 months may be called upon every man aged from 21 to 30 years.

Navy (28 000 people, including 8000 marines) have 3 frigates, 26 patrol boats, three rockets and 20 patrol boats, 30 Coast Guard boats, 40 amphibious ships, a squadron of patrol aviation base, a naval infantry brigade (3 infantry battalions, one artillery battalion). Major naval bases - Bangkok and Sattahip.
All the military equipment and armament of foreign (mostly American) production. The armed forces are equipped on the basis of the law on compulsory military service. The term of active service for 2 years. In addition to the armed forces in Thailand are: volunteer corps of Defense (52 000) and Border Police (14 000. Men and 54 helicopters).
